While much of the channel is devoted to discussing the club’s prospects and future, it’s the occasional rants after one of the club’s ludicrous defeats that usually catch the eye. Angry, tearful and despondent fans air their views on the channel to hilarious effect (only for non-Arsenal supporters) as they moan and bemoan their perennial fourth place syndrome.

Here’s a look at the five of the best rants on Arsenal Fan TV:

#5 Every single season, unprepared

We start with DT’s rant from the opening weekend of the current season when Arsenal lost 3-4 to Liverpool. After such an unsatisfactory start to the campaign, this fan could not hold back.

Replete with expletives and a lot of visible frustration, DT points out everything wrong with the club, mainly Arsene Wenger’s refusal to reinforce certain areas of the squad.

He even went on a rant about how fans spend their money on tickets every year but the club won’t invest in more talent. Already at a disadvantage from the first gameweek, the angry Gunner couldn’t help but point out how they were unprepared yet again this season and if they lost to Leicester City the following week, they’d have already dropped six points.

P.S. – Arsenal’s game against Leicester ended in a goalless draw, they ended up dropping five instead of all six available points.

#4 This man is going this year

This rant by another prominent Gunner, Troopz, is from a shocking lament to an intense vitriol. After all, how else would you react after losing 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the Champions League this year?

Troopz’s call to see the back of Wenger, Ivan Gazidis, Stan Kroenke, etc. can hardly be blamed when he sees his fellow supporters lower their expectations to chants of, ‘We’re coming for you Lincoln’ instead of putting up a fight in Europe. He incinerates the club’s management and most of their players too for not caring and doing a good enough job.

As he swears and curses through his interview, he confesses that in spite of all that Wenger has done for the club, the ideal outcome of this campaign would be to see the Frenchman go.

P.S. – Watch out for the moment he calls Olivier Giroud a “f*****g donkey”. The lightest moment of the interview, if you ask me.

#3 We can’t keep going on like this

Now, this is a high-spirited one (understatement intended) as Ty, a #WengerIn supporter, and Claude, a #WengerOut man, face off in an interview after the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in December last year. The debate regarding change at every level in the club has rarely been as fierce as this time around.

Even before their European qualification for next season was put at risk, fans had already had enough of the same old regime.

As Robbie speaks to the two men, the only thing Ty manages to say is ‘don’t swear at me’ as Claude lets loose on years of frustration. The interview escalates into an extremely heated argument where Ty defends Wenger and qualifying for Europe and finishing above Tottenham as good enough whereas Claude seems at his wit’s end as he is faced with his side’s mediocrity.

P.S. – Arsenal actually look dangerously close to finishing below Spurs this year.

#2 The whole thing is a mess

Back in November of 2014, things were pretty much the same as it is now for the North London club. After a 2-1 defeat where Swansea came back from behind to win the game, Claude couldn’t be enraged enough. At the risk of bursting a vein, he let loose about Wenger’s management and refused to give the manager any credit for his decisions during the game.

Using a very plebian, yet accurate analogy, Claude compared the current regime at the club to stale food that people discard and do not put back in the refrigerator. He blames Wenger for handing Chelsea the title by not triggering the club’s buy-back clause for Cesc Fabregas and allowed them to move to their London rivals.

Claude also gets into a fierce argument with a then unknown fan, someone regular viewers of Arsenal Fan TV now know as Ty. Yet again, he insults him in the worst manner possible for a Gunner when he tells him to go support Chelsea.

P.S. – Claude’s words proved to be prophetic as Chelsea did win the title that season.

#1 Shape up or get out

The final rant on this list is from three years ago when Arsenal lost their opening home game of the season for the first time in 20 years against Aston Villa. While many will remember the questionable penalty awarded to Villa, the Gunners poor performance can’t be ignored either.

After letting go of numerous players and no significant purchases (this was before the deal for Mesut Ozil was finalised), this angry and tearful interview has the highest number of views among fan reaction videos on the channel.

The fan’s incredulity in the video seems legitimate as he demands changes in the club and almost pleads for either Wenger or members of the board to leave after years of their gross incompetence. He reiterates their perennial problems regarding transfers, injuries and team selection and cuts a tragic figure as he is applauded by fellow Gunners for his heartfelt reaction to yet another humiliating defeat.

P.S. – The only other video with more views is the one of Gary Neville with Robbie Lyle and some of Arsenal’s most prominent local supporters.
