When looking back at some fan favorite series from 2022, some of the most unforgettable moments are funny and others are dramatic. But these moments all have something in common: they have wowed viewers and created meaningful and memorable entertainment.

Eddie’s Guitar Scene (Stranger Things)
While Eddie Munson needs more screentime in Stranger Things season 4, he does have an epic scene where he plays guitar to Metallica in the Upside Down. Since Joseph Quinn’s character and his friends are fighting for their lives and trying to beat Vecna, the moment in the season 4 finale “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback” is heavy and deep. But this guitar solo adds some fun to what could be an otherwise dark and dreary episode since the characters are in such big trouble.
Eddie becomes an integral part of the friend group by the end of season 4, which makes his death even more tragic and hard to watch. But he goes out like the hero that he wants to be and does what he can to save his pals. Eddie experiences so much joy playing music that it’s hard not to love this moment.
The Chaos Of The Kitchen (The Bear)
While single takes in movies aren’t impressive, The Bear has an incredible single take episode. In “Review,” Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) is losing his cool as he and his kitchen staff can’t keep up with the overwhelming number of take-out orders. The incredibly long scene proves that even the most talented chefs aren’t immune to the stresses of the culinary world. It’s also a smart look at how Carmy tries to handle the turn that his life has taken, as he copes with losing his brother and taking over his restaurant.
When looking back at the most exciting TV shows of 2022, The Bear has to be on that list. The show is wise, funny, dark, and sad. It shows how one person can honor their family’s history while trying to be their own person, too, and Carmy’s journey is meaningful.
Jenna Ortega Dancing (Wednesday)
The Wednesday finale could set up season 2, but TV fans can’t stop talking about the scene of the Goth character dancing up a storm at a Nevermore Academy dance. Jenna Ortega is generally impressive in this series, but her fearless dance moves definitely takes the cake as one of the greatest moments of 2022.
When “The Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps comes on, Wednesday begins dancing instantly, clearly moved by the music. Although the show is already a fan favorite, some critics aren’t so sure about the show, although everyone agrees that Ortega is incredibly talented. However, the dance cements the show as one of the most memorable of the past year thanks to this fun and charming scene.
Death Visits Harry (The Sandman)
The Sandman handles Death well and their appearance is one of the most exciting TV moments of the year. In The Sandman’s sixth episode, “The Sound of Her Wings,” Dream (Tom Sturridge) accompanies his sister Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) as she performs her duties. In one particularly bittersweet scene, Death pays a visit to Harry, an elderly gentleman playing the violin.
Howell-Baptiste conveys both a sense of empathy and duty, as Harry recognizes who she is and why she is there.
She allows him to say a final prayer before taking him from the living world. This moment in particular is a great translation of Neil Gaiman’s work, as it blends dark fantasy elements with real human emotion.
Elizabeth Screams (The Dropout)
The 2022 Hulu miniseries The Dropout is one of the most well-crafted series of the year, so it’s no wonder that it has one of the most compelling and exciting moments. At the end of episode 8 called “Lizzy,” Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) is waiting for an Uber. When she screams, it’s the perfect way to sum up what has happened in the past few episodes. Her life has completely fallen apart and she can’t control her rage anymore.
Seyfried plays Holmes as someone who likes to be in control at all times and who feels powerless over the end of her company. The character is shocked at the turn that her life has taken. Knowing the harm that this idea caused, it’s a dark and haunting scene
