It is clear the WWE has big plans for his former tag partner, Big Cass. Cass has the size, in-ring skill and promo ability to be a successful long-term player on the main roster. Where does that leave his former friend Enzo?

He certainly can talk a great game but his in-ring work leaves a lot to be desired. Add in the fact that he’s booked like a total loser for nearly a year, it is tough to see what the future plans are for Enzo Amore going forward.

So what can WWE do with this tough talking underdog? Here’s the list of the five best ways to book Enzo Amore in his post-tag team career:

#5 Send Him Back to NXT

Once upon a time, I had the honour of attending the first real NXT show outside of Florida, in San Jose in March 2015. It was an amazing night filled with many memorable moments.

That NXT crowd loved a lot of things but they loved nothing more than the entrance of Enzo and Big Cass. It was so loud that I couldn’t even hear Enzo’s signature opening speech. That was always the case, Enzo was beloved in NXT. He could be again.

One of Enzo’s biggest issues right now is his in-ring ability needs a lot of work. It is difficult to improve your in-ring ability on the main roster when you are on the road four days a week. It would then make sense to send Enzo back home to NXT.

It is a real win win for Enzo and the WWE. He gets to improve his wrestling ability at the Performance Center, teach the younger stars his amazing mic skills and give NXT a popular face to help carry the brand for a while.

NXT has had main event wrestlers like Emma and Tyson Kidd reinvent their careers. Why not Enzo as well?

#4 Feud for an Intercontinental Championship

Enzo, as previously stated, has few equals in the WWE in terms of talking. Enter the Miz, arguably the best in the WWE and the reigning Intercontinental Champion.

The Miz is desperately in need of an over babyface opponent who is not named Dean Ambrose. It is time to see what Enzo could do.

I could just imagine the promo battles between the two. The Miz could play the cocky heel and play up the underdog status of Enzo. Enzo could overcome the odds to win his first singles title or be ultimately unsuccessful but he could build a top level feud with the Miz.

This would provide a fresh match-up and a true test of Enzo’s ability to draw on his own. In the fall months with less eyeballs on the product, what would the WWE have to lose with this feud?

#3 Form a new Tag Team

One of the reasons I was upset with the end of Enzo & Cass was it added to the lack of quality tag teams in the WWE. Each brand has about four quality tag teams to lead each division. That is way too limited and leads to far too many repeat matches. It is time Enzo got back into the tag team game.

He is already forming an alliance with the Big Show and could form an interesting tag team which would quickly recreate the dynamic of his previous tag team. Enzo could be the wrestler in danger and make the hot tag to Big Show to pick up the victory.

It is a formula that works for WWE tag team wrestling and could continue for Enzo Amore with Big Show or many other wrestlers looking for some more television time in the coming months.

#2 A managerial role

I miss the age of wrestling managers. If we go back to early WrestleManias, you will notice that almost every wrestler had a manager. It added a lot to those matches and provided wrestlers with weaker mic skills the ability to be successful despite their clear faults.

Enzo could bring this forgotten role back perfectly.

Enzo’s biggest problem is his mic skills go to waste since his character cannot back it up in the ring. If he’s placed with a rising star like Baron Corbin or Braun Strowman, he will sell them like an unstoppable monster.

Why waste Enzo’s amazing abilities when he could be used to sell another wrestler? It is almost foolish that this hasn’t happened before.

#1 Move him to 205 Live

205 Live has got a very bad rap in recent months. The purple ropes, the short matches on RAW and a Network show a lot of people don’t watch leads to a division in desperate need of a major boost. Enzo could provide that boost.

Neville is clearly leaps and bounds above the rest of the division and needs credible opponents. Enzo would provide that.

He would seem credible in the land of Cruiserweight wrestlers that are about his size and could sell a feud with the “King of the Cruiserweights” as well.

He could even use his gift of gab to build the profile of 205 Live’s other struggling heels. If there is a sea of smaller wrestlers floundering on the main roster, why not use them to rebuild the 205 Live division?
