Something that is inherent to the business of sports entertainment concerns heel and face turns, where a bad guy taps into whatever good is in him/her and where a good guy suddenly unleashes his/her nasty side. Which is why SummerSlam could be the site for more than one betrayal.

In this article, I will list out 5 betrayals that could potentially take place at the show, and invite you to list a few more that you can think of. I’d love to know what you think of the entries that I have listed as well, for your reading pleasure.

Here are 5 betrayals that could certainly happen at SummerSlam.

#5 Big E turns on Kofi Kingston, costing him the WWE Championship

I have a feeling that Kofi Kingston may just lose the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2019. And this is because after he is done with Randy Orton, he has nobody else to feud with unless Drew McIntyre was to be inserted into the Championship picture. I just think that it makes sense for Randy Orton to become the Champion and take on Kevin Owens in coming months.

Considering just how strongly Kofi Kingston has been booked, I have a feeling that he won’t go down unless there is some foul play involved in this match. The best way to do that would be to have someone like Big E or Xavier Woods turn on Kingston, and cost him the title. Kingston could then team up with someone else like Buddy Murphy, and go after the SmackDown Tag Team Championships over the following months.

#4 The Usos side with Samoa Joe over Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is currently in a very heated feud with Samoa Joe, and things came to a head in the main event of WWE RAW. The Usos are family for the Samoan named Joe but what if they end up siding with Samoa Joe down the line? This would be a very interesting twist.

Let’s assume that Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns take each other on at SummerSlam 2019. When it seems like Roman has the upper hand, The Usos could come in and destroy him. And then it could turn out that they were behind the attack on SmackDown Live, like their father Rikishi orchestrated an attack all of those years ago.

Samoa Joe and The Usos as a heel faction could cause much chaos on SmackDown Live, and possibly even feud with The New Day in months to come.

#3 Asuka turns on Kairi Sane

Ever since the roster split up into RAW and SmackDown, there is a serious lack of depth on either roster, in my opinion. Ember Moon may be a worthy contender for Bayley but where does either woman go after the feud is done?

In my opinion, the Kabuki Warriors could be split up considering the fact that neither woman is really doing much right now. The Women’s Tag Team Championships have been forgotten and two talented women are not doing anything at all because of this reason.

In latest WWE, Let’s say that a Kabuki Warriors vs. IIconics match does happen at SummerSlam. I have a feeling that the match should end with Asuka turning heel and attacking Kairi Sane, which could lead into a full-fledged feud with Bayley going forward.

This may sound like it’s coming out of the blue, but it would be a good way to elevate Asuka once again!

#2 Alexa Bliss turns on Nikki Cross, proving everyone right

Ever since she first joined hands with Alexa Bliss, everyone’s warned Nikki Cross to be extremely careful of The Goddess of WWE. I mean Alexa Bliss hasn’t really had the best track record when it comes to tag team partners thus far. Mickie James and Nia Jax can both attest to the fact.

Even now, she has Nikki Cross do her bidding and Cross racks up wins one after the other, but relinquishes title opportunities to The Goddess. We all know that it’s only a matter of time before Bliss shows her true colors to Cross. This will result in Cross turning babyface and taking Bliss on, in the months that follow.

Could SummerSlam be the site where Alexa Bliss ends up showing her true colors in a ‘Moment of Bliss’ segment? It would certainly be a talking point that would make serious waves!

#1 Sasha Banks turns on Bayley, Ember Moon becomes the Champion

Even though she hasn’t been seen on WWE television for many months now, Sasha Banks is very much a part of WWE, at least according to Sportskeeda’s very own Tom Colohue. She has asked for some time off and when she returns to action, she will likely be a very big deal once again.

I don’t think that Banks should return to the tag team division considering that it’s become an afterthought. I have a feeling that she will be back in the singles division and she will take on Bayley in a heated feud on SmackDown Live.

Could she cause a distraction during the Bayley vs. Ember Moon match, causing the latter to pick up a victory and become the SmackDown Women’s Champion at SummerSlam 2019? Imagine the roar of the crowd if she does return to action.
