It’s been just a few weeks since Reigns has returned to the WWE, and he has already sprinted back into action, as it seems like the creative team has a plan in place for the former WWE Champion at WrestleMania. A few weeks ago on Raw, Roman Reigns was targeted by Drew McIntyre, as the former NXT Champion had enough of The Shield parading on the flagship show.

Now it seems like Reigns could get his revenge on McIntyre at WrestleMania 35, as many rumors have been circulating over the past few weeks that Reigns and McIntyre are set for a showdown at the Grandest Stage of Them All. This is a great WrestleMania showdown, as these are two competitors at the height of their careers, but when you analyze the possible outcomes of this match, things don’t seem all that promising.

The only logical outcome in this contest is either Reigns or McIntyre coming out on top, and with Reigns returning in white hot fashion, it is hard to see him lose this match, which leaves McIntyre in a dire situation, as McIntyre can’t sacrifice his credibility at this stage in the main event run. So which other matches could Reigns have had at Wrestlemania?

#1 A One on one bout with Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns’ rivalry might be one of the hottest programmes WWE had produced in the last few years, as these were two superstars that were reaching the same height of success at the very same time.

From their first encounter at Fastlane 2017 to their iconic clash at Great Balls of Fire, these are two men that know each other like the back of their hands, and now it is quite surprising to realize that these superstars that were being pitted as the next two big main eventers in the WWE are on two different paths.

While Reigns is still on top of the mountain, on the other hand, Strowman is falling at a rapid rate, as WWE has really dropped the ball with the big man. And you don’t need any more evidence for that statement, as Strowman is going into his third Wrestlemania with no plan in sight. So a match between Strowman and Reigns would be the perfect thing for both these men, as before Reigns departed from the company his feud with Strowman was left incomplete.

#2 Multiman Fiasco For The IC Title

The IC Title was one of the most important titles in the WWE over the last few years, as the title rose in prominence when Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title went missing from Raw for weeks on end, which made the mid-card title the most significant belt on Raw.

From The Miz to Seth Rollins, the IC Title has been in good hands which have given it more value in the eyes of the WWE Universe, but over the last few months, WWE has destroyed the credibility of this one prestigious title.

Bad booking, terrible title holders, and lackluster matches have all contributed to the downfall of the IC Title, as what the title needs right now is a huge programme to lift it back to prominence. For a huge programme to succeed there need to be huge superstars involved, and there is no bigger star on Raw right now than Roman Reigns.

While Reigns experience with mid-card titles were not that fruitful, he has the ability to craft a great match with just about anyone, and that is exactly what the IC Title needs right now. So Reigns challenging for the IC Title at WrestleMania will be beneficial to the man, the title, and the competitors involved.

#3 The Bond Of Brotherhood Prevails

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have always been a great tag team, as ever since The Shield imploded in 2014, these two men have each other’s backs, from battling The Wyatt Family to tackling The Authority, Ambrose and Reigns have been in countless wars together.

Now it seems like this could be the last opportunity for WWE to have these self-proclaimed brothers in the same ring taking on another set of foes, as the entire Dean Ambrose contract situation could see Ambrose leave the WWE.

As reports have surfaced that even though WWE is booking Ambrose as a main event player, he might still leave when his contract expires in April, but that could mean that WWE gets the best out of Ambrose before he exits the company.

Ambrose and Reigns teaming up to take on Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin (if he doesn’t face Kurt Angle) will be a match that makes a lot of sense, as Corbin taking the pinfall will save McIntyre’s credibility.

#4 A Somaon Battlefield

Samoa Joe is one of the most charismatic wrestlers on the planet today, as there isn’t one thing Joe can’t do on the mic and in the ring. From elevating the Universal Title in his feud with Brock Lesnar back in 2017 to rescuing AJ Styles monotonous WWE Title reign, Joe is a man born to be champion.

WWE finally realized that when they put the US Title on Samoa Joe, as it is not even a few weeks since Samoa Joe won the title and the man is already raising eyebrows with the work he has put into his reign.

While Joe is all the way on Smackdown Live and Reigns is on Raw this a match that could take place if WWE wanted as the announcement that Rey Mysterio will take on Samoa Joe at Wrestlemania left many confused.

This was a match that literally came out of nowhere, as Joe and Mysterio’s rivalry over the past few weeks did not feel like it warranted a title match at WrestleMania, and to be honest, this is a match that most likely won’t happen in its single match format.

As you can expect the likes of Andrade, R Truth, Mustafa Alli and a whole host of other Smackdown superstars to get involved in the build-up to this match. This leaves Samoa Joe possibly stuck in the middle of a multi-man feud, which is a waste of his talents at WrestleMania.

Reigns and Joe have a storied history with one another which warrants a match between the two stars, and while some of you may not remember WWE did leave the story thread of Samoa Joe being the ex-communicated Samoan unfinished. This feels like the perfect time to complete that angle.

#5 New Attitudes

In an earlier point, the possibility of Ambrose and Reigns teaming up at WrestleMania for the very last time was discussed, as many feel this will be Dean Ambrose’s last Wrestlemania, and for him to end his WWE the same way it started would be the perfect farewell, but lets flip the script for a second. What if the perfect farewell for Ambrose is the one thing we are yet to see in his career as yet and that is a one on one feud with his Shield brethren?

Ambrose and Reigns have faced off in the past, but WWE never explored the programme between the two men in depth which a shame when considering the countless opportunities they had to do so. While this may mean Ambrose is turning heel once again, it would make a whole lot of sense if he did it for a programme that is worth watching. Ambrose and Reigns taking each other apart in a match that is fit for Reigns return, and Ambrose’s farewell would be a sight that lives on forever in WrestleMania history.
